Professor Hymore began his Chemical Engineering education at the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. After his National Service, also in his department he won a French government scholarship to pursue his postgraduate education. This was done at the L'Institut du Genie Chimique, L'Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, France. He returned to his Alma Mata in 1981 as a Teaching Assistant. At the end of the same year he joined the University of Benin as a Lecturer II. He rose through the ranks and was appointed the Head of Department in 2000. After he returned from Canada where he obtained a postgraduate diploma in research and development (distinction) in Pharmaceutical Technology, he joined the services of Igbinedion University, Okada. He was Head of Department till he joined the services of Covenant University in 2008. He was appointed professor by Covenant University in the same year.
He served in several other different capacities within the university system-external examiner at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has graduated several MSc. and two PhD students. He has several published articles in both local and international journals. He is the current editor of the Covenant Journal of Science and Technology.
