Summary of Profile
Faith Osasumwen Oviasogie was born in Sango Ota Ogun State on March 16, 1986 but hails from Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State. She attended Iganmode nursery and primary school Ota, Ogun State (1988-1996) and afterward proceeded to Iganmode Grammar School Ota, Ogun State for her secondary education. In 2005, she gained admission to study International relations in the highly prestigious Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria where she graduated in 2009 as the second best graduating student in the department with a First Class degree. She holds a Masters Degree in the same field.
Faith is currently an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Political Science and International Relations Covenant University. She started teaching and research work in the university system in 2009 with research focus on revolution, development, gender and environmental issues.
She got a grant for M.Sc project writing from Covenant University in 2011. In addition, she has participated in some conferences within Nigeria. Some of the most recent one include: AVH Kolleg Conference 2011, University of Ibadan Conference Centre on Climate Change and Sustainable Development: Cultural and Techno-environmental responses in West Africa, October 11-15, 2011 and the 22nd Conference of Nigerian Society of International Affairs (NSIA) Conference, Lead City University, Ibadan on contemporary challenges in Nigeria, Africa and the world, 3rd -5th April, 2012.
She has a thirst for knowledge and her thirst for knowledge and desires to make meaningful contribution to scholarship has been instrumental in her publication in reputable journals and books. She has reading, travelling and meeting people. She is single.
