Summary of Profile

Dr. Ikhu Omoregbe, Nicholas holds a PhD in Computer Science from Covenant University with specialization in mobile healthcare systems. He published (or is forthcoming) in more than 25 peer reviewed journals and book chapters, and over 15 national and international conferences. He serves as a reviewer and member of editorial board of several journals. He services at conferences and professional meetings as Track and mini-Track Chair. He is a member of professional, working group, international associations and international computing groups. He has supervised several undergraduate and post graduated students. He has about twenty years of professional experience in Information Technology consulting and as well as teaching in tertiary institutions. He leads a research cluster in software engineering and intelligent systems. He developed a curriculum and taught a full semester course in eHealth Systems at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, Heidenheim, Germany in 2009. Presently he Chairs the ICT/Webometrics committee at Covenant University where he also serves as the head of department. Dr. Ikhu Omoregbe assesses Masters and PhD dissertations at Covenant University and Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Cape Town, South Africa. His core research interests are in Adoption of mobile health in low resource setting, Application of social networks technology in e-Health, Medical informatics, Digitization of Complementary and Alternative Medicines, Cross culture issues in the transfer of health care technology to developing nations, E-health, E-education, Implementation and sustainability of health care systems and policy, Multimedia technology and Software engineering.
