Summary of Profile
Victoria Etoromi Itsekor works as a Serial Librarian in the Centre for Learning Resources, Covenant University. She got a merit award for building the first Bus Stop at Argungu, Kebbi State during her National Youth Service. She was also involved in presenting seminars and giving talks about the importance and use of libraries in schools both in Kebbi and Lagos State. She succeeded in procuring book gifts from National Libraries of Nigeria in 2004 on behalf of 12 schools and Libraries & Scholars an organization she founded in Lagos State for development of their libraries. She is a graduate of Delta State University.
In 2010 she got nominated amongst 5 others from around the world to participated in a new initiative of the International Federation of Library and Information Association (ILFA)sponsored by the IFLA’s Library Theory and Research Section. It was a one year program which provided the opportunity for new library and information professionals to develop and refine their skill, knowledge and confidence in conducting research within the context of their professional practice. The program was concluded October 31, 2011 with the submission of our final research report to the program Chairperson, Prof. Helen Partridge.
