Summary of Profile
Dr. ORODU started his career with PINL Marine & Oil Services Ltd; an oil and gas services company based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria where he was actively involved in the fast track execution of projects on swamp/land/offshore locations for multinational upstream oil and gas companies in Nigeria. During this period he was awarded the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) scholarship to study for his MSc in Oil & Gas Engineering at The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, United Kingdom. After the successful completion of his MSc program, he came back and later had a stint with Field Offshore Design Engineering (FODE) Company Limited in Lagos, Nigeria before proceeding to the China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China for his PhD in Oil & Natural Gas Engineering. His core areas of competence are Reservoir Characterization (including static modeling), dynamic modeling; production data analysis and economic analysis. Areas of current research interest includes analytical methods of determining residual oil saturation and distribution by incorporating flow unit, interwell connectivity and special core analysis data, with one dimensional flow; porous media fluid flow under the influence of paraffin within the confines/window of cloud point temperature and pour point temperature.
