Summary of Profile

Dr. Evans S. OSABUOHIEN is a lecturer in Dept. of Economics and Development Studies, Covenant University, Nigeria. He is currently an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Research Fellow at GIGA German Institute for Global and Area Studies, Hamburg, Germany. He holds B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D in Economics. He has participated in several conferences, workshops and short courses across the world. His research focus includes: International Economics, Institutional Economics and Development where he has published over 28 scholarly articles in journals and books. He has won several awards and grants including the recent prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers. Others include: Swedish Institute Guest Doctoral Fellowship; Council for Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA)’s grant for Ph.D Thesis Writing; and Research Grant from Global Trade Alert (GTA) for The Centre for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), UK to mention a few. He is a member of Nigerian Economic Society; Royal Economic Society, UK; CODESRIA and African Economic Research Consortium (AERC); United Nations Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD) Virtual Institute, Switzerland; among others.
