Covenant Pulls Crowd at FCMB/MOD Education Fair
Covenant University’s stand was a beehive of activities at a recent Education Fair jointly organized by First City Monument Bank (FCMB), a top rated banking institution in Nigeria and MOD Education, the largest indigenous student recruitment organization in Nigeria.
The Covenant team, comprised of representatives of the Media and Corporate Affairs Unit, the School of Post Graduate Studies and the Directorate of International Office and Linkages of the University, engaged the students from a number of secondary schools in Lagos as well as parents, who desired information that would help them make decisions about choice of Universities and admission criteria.
During the interactions, questions from prospective students concerning rules and regulations for Covenant University students were addressed and fears concerning the cost of school fees were allayed.
The Director, Operations, MOD, Mr. Faruk Oyebanjo, said that the 2019 FCMB/MOD Education Fair was a platform for select Private Universities in Nigeria to meet with parents and prospective students desirous of an undergraduate or postgraduate study locally.
Mr. Oyebanjo explained that the event would enable them get first-hand information about available study options, academic programmes, study requirements, host community, local scholarships (if any) and career advice as they planned for their academic lives.
One of the main features of the fair was a free International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Seminar provided by the organisers to the general public.
Other private universities in Nigeria were also represented at the event.
