Official Launch of the RCE Ogun, themed: "Climate Change Action for the Africa we want"

Covenant University, in conjunction with the United Nations University will be launching the Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) on February 4, 2019, Covenant's Centre for Research, Innovation, & Discovery.

The launch, themed "Climate Change Action for the Africa we want" will feature manufacturing companies in Ota and global climate change researchers, who will be discussing pathways to developing environmental and social solutions for the sustainable development challenges plaguing Africa.

RCE's exists as a solution to environmental and social challenges globally, and the RCE Ogun Climate Change Convention once launched will serve to create awareness and mobilise the community to live proactively and sustainably, thus mitigating a great deal of the harm that comes with severe and catastrophic climate change.

Covenant University recognizes the need for her community to take action against climate change, being a global phenomenon, in a bid to address the intensity of global warming due to emissions and other harmful human practices; and with the launch of the RCE Ogun, Covenant is poised to ensure sustainable productivity, thus, preserving the future.

Remarkably, participation at the launch is free, and various participants are to be presented with RCE Ogun/ United Nations University Green Community Certificates.
