Summary of Profile
Dr Bowale became an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ACA) in 1992 and that of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria(ACITN) in 1993. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(FCA) and a council member of the Institute of Supervision and Leadership, Nigeria. He trained as a chartered accountant in Coopers and Lybrand in Lagos (now PriceWaterHouseCoopers- an international firm of chartered accountants) between 1984- 1991.He worked briefly at Luncheon Vouchers Nigeria Plc as Chief Accountant between 1991-1992 from where he joined Prudential Funds Management Ltd as Senior Manager- Corporate Finance in 1993.He later became an executive director of Mcbay Resources and Technology Management Ltd in 1997. He was in the company until 2001 when he joined Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko as a lecturer. He was the Head of Department of Accounting in 2011-2013.
Dr Bowale has varied experiences in auditing, taxation, management and financial consultancy. He participated in the Federal Government Projects in Monitoring the Compliance of Payments of VAT and Withholding Taxes both in Petroleum and Textile Industries between 1996-1998.He also participated in the European Union(EU PRIME) in Financial Audit between 2007-2008.
Dr Bowale has also rendered some community and public services. He was a member of the Lagos State Cycling Association between 1994-1997.He is a certified Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Microfinance Training Consultant. Dr Bowale is a chief examiner to the Association of Accountancy Bodies in West Africa(ABWA). He was one of the Technical committee members appointed to travel to Ghana for the inaugural meeting on production of study packs in 2010. He is the 1st Deputy President of Ota-Agbara Chamber of Commerce, Mines, Industries and Agriculture, and Council member of Ogun State Chamber of Commerce, Mines, Industries and Agriculture.
Dr Bowale has written many academic papers in both local and international journals. He has also carried out many researches in Poverty Alleviation, Entrepreneurial Economics, Financial Markets Innovation and Structural Transformation and Growth. Dr Bowale has participated and delivered papers in several local and international academic conferences.
He is a Senior Lecturer at Covenant University, Ota.Ogun State, Nigeria.
