Summary of Profile

Emeka Emmanuel Okoro has varied Oil & Gas industry experience covering research and academia. He has authored/ co-authored over 60 publications including Society of Petroleum Engineers papers and journal articles, and has a copyright on Invert Emulsion Mud Calculator. Emeka holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Master’s in Petroleum & Gas Engineering and doctorate degree in Petroleum Engineering. He is currently a Lecturer at Covenant University, Nigeria. His areas of core competence are Natural Gas Engineering, Drilling Engineering and Geomechanics which relates to Wellbore Instability in Well Construction. He has extensive research experience with Shell Aret Adams Chair in Petroleum Engineering UNIPORT enabling him blend theory with actual field experience in Well Planning; and his current research interest includes “Reversible Invert Emulsion muds”, “Environmental impact of Oilfields chemicals”, “Wellbore instability during Well Construction” and “Advantages of In-Country utilization of Crude Oil”. Currently, researching on Oil and Gas Environmental related challenges. Emeka is an SPE International member (4632555) and a Registered Engineer (R.Eng. R32,952, COREN) in Nigeria.
