Summary of Profile

Dr. Grace I. Olasehinde is a lecturer I in the Department of Biological Sciences, (Microbiology Unit) School of Natural and Applied Sciences, College of Science and Technology, Covenant University. She obtained her B.Sc. (Microbiology), M.Sc. (Medical Parasitology) and Ph.D. (Microbiology) degrees from University of Ilorin, University of Lagos, and Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria respectively. Her area of research interest is Medical Parasitology/Malariology and Biotechnology. She has won the prestigious Third World Organisation for women in Science (TWOWS) Postgraduate fellowship award to carry out research at the National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR), Delhi, India between January and June, 2009. She has presented scientific papers at national and international conferences. Dr. Olasehinde teaches General Microbiology, Parasitology, Epidemiology and Public Health Microbiology and Medical Entomology amongst others. She is a member of different professional bodies including the Nigerian Society for Microbiology, (NSM), American Society of Microbiology (ASM), Organisation for Women in Science in the Developing World (OWSDW), Nigeria Biotechnology Society (NBS), International Society for Computational Biology (ISBC) and African Society for Bioinformatics and Conputational Biology (ASBCB).
