Officials from the Industrial Training Fund, Abeokuta office have reiterated the importance of students embracing the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) with all their zest and vigour, if they are to develop the requisite skills to meaningfully contribute to national development.

The Deputy Director/Area Manager Industrial Training Fund, Abeokuta office, Mrs. Funmi Coker, who was represented by the Assistant Director and Head Training, Mrs. Oluwatosin Akinbola, said the SIWES programme is designed to prepare students of tertiary institutions for the world of work and help them develop traits that will help them be relevant in any work environment.
