"Embrace the Faith Lifestyle to Live a Triumphant Life" – Pastor Oyedepo Jr.

As part of the training session for 2023 Towards a Total Graduate programme of Covenant University for the graduating class of 2023, Secretary of the Board of Regents of the University, Pastor David Oyedepo (Jr.), has called on the graduating students to embrace a lifestyle of faith if they must lead a triumphant life, be it in career, business, or ministerial calling.

Speaking on the theme ‘Faith Complex,’ Pastor Oyedepo (Jr.) told the gathering that faith is not just a religious theory but a mystery of God’s Kingdom. According to him, faith is not a belief system; it is a spiritual weapon. Just as it is neither a principle nor a strategy but a spiritual force,

He said that faith is not a religious philosophy but a spiritual mystery. According to him, it is being fully persuaded of the truth, the prevailing circumstances notwithstanding, until the truth triumphs.

He noted that faith is an unstoppable force in the world of the spirit, and as such, whatever cannot stop the way against God cannot stop the way against faith from accomplishing its mission. "Faith is a spiritual force within that determines the triumphs without, and it is a spiritual explosive that devastates the powers of darkness and establishes the dominion of the saints," he added.

Pastor Oyedepo (Jr.) said faith is a spiritual force that provokes the healing power of God that makes us whole and at the same time carries the inherent spiritual capacity to engraft humanity into divinity, thereby commanding supernatural feats. "Faith is a spiritual medium through which active partnership is established with the invisible God, thereby empowering man to do the impossible, and it is the master key to a world of unlimited possibilities," he added.

He counselled that for faith to work and deliver maximally, it must be taken as a personal task to cultivate, be heart-borne, revelation-provoked, bold-speaking, love-driven, and offence-free in nature.

Pastor Oyedepo (Jr.) advised the students to work at building their faith to grow by continually boosting their spiritual understanding through constant study of the Word, engaging in constant prayer and fasting for the outbreak of revelation, allowing the Word of God to be the daily guide for living, coveting the enduement of the spirit of faith, and regularly praying in the Holy Ghost.

He posited that the uniqueness of the spirit of faith is that it empowers one to believe all things and speaks through the carrier, thus making them speak the unspeakable, be at rest in the midst of the storms of life, dare the undareable, and deliver the impossible.

The University’s Board’s Secretary said the significance of the subject of faith is the fact that it is the very substance of Christianity, the foundation of every spiritual adventure in the kingdom while remaining the number one target of the devil.

He concluded by stating that it is ones’ corresponding action to every revelation that turns it into a testimony, noting that a prompt response to every revelation is key to supernatural manifestation. He, however, cautioned against what he described as the ‘Reubenites Syndrome, which births procrastination and being torn between taking decisions, as unusual delays in acting on any God-given ideas will never lead to a victorious Christian life.
