Professor Adebayo Underscores need for seasoned Administrators in Nigerian Work Places

The Vice-Chancellor, Covenant University, Professor Abiodun H. Adebayo, has made a clarion call for adequate training of more seasoned administrators for Nigerian organisations in order to evolve a greater efficiency in the country.

He made this assertion while speaking at the induction ceremony of some Covenant University students and staff by the Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA), which took place on 24th of April, 2023, at the University’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Development main hall.

He said further that Nigeria stands a better chance for enhanced growth if all workers have adequate training with each official of any organisation holding their head up high while facing the challenges of the rigours of work.

He said further that an astute worker must be adept with all it takes to augment the profile of his/her organisation, which on the long run, would work towards the development of the organisation and the country as a whole.

He finally enjoined the newly inducted students and staff to use their training well in championing good and ethical practices in their various place of assignments.  

The President of the Chartered Institute of Administration, Dr. (Admin.) Festus A. Oshoba (FCIA), in his address, enjoined the newly inducted members to be good ambassadors of the Institute and promised that the Institute will help them in their various aspirations in the future.

He also admonished them to show loyalty by participating actively in the activities of the University as this is a way of improving themselves for the world of work in the foreseeable future.  

While speaking on behalf of the other inductees, the Acting Registrar, Covenant University, Mrs. Regina Tobi-David, thanked the institute for making the induction possible as promised. She further assured the Institute that all the inductees will continue to give their best in whatever they are involved in, so as to make the institute proud.

The Chair, Covenant University Life-long Learning, Dr. Jegede Ajibade, thanked the management of the University for creating a platform that is helping the students and staff of Covenant University to develop their capacity.

Also present at the programme were Registrar/Secretary General of CIA, Professor (Admin) Akobundu Okoronkwo (FCIA); The HOD, Business Administration, Professor Anthonia Adeniji, amongst others.
